The metadata structure selection flags control how the matching metadata structure item is selected, and how the related (dependant) metadata structure items are handled. For instance, selecting an object class metadata structure item may or may not make the associated property definitions to be selected as well. The selection is also dependent on the metadata structure of the target document vault.
