# ObjVer

Identifies one version of an object.

Most read methods need a specific version: `version.type` `OBJ_VER_VERSION_TYPE_SPECIFIC` and the
version number in `version.internal_version`. Methods that read "the latest version" have their
own switch for it and ignore `version`; see the
[IRPCObjectOperations overview](https://developer.m-files.com/APIs/gRPC-API/Reference/MFiles.IRPCObjectOperations/index.md). Versions returned by the
server are always specific.
